Olivia Guarno, Health Professions Pathway teacher in the CTE wing at Proctor High School, recently visited eighth-grade students at Donovan Middle School to share information about the Health Professions Pathway. During her visit, students learned about what to expect when participating in the pathway and the opportunities available for those interested in medical careers.
Many students expressed interest in pursuing the medical field and were particularly excited to hear about the use of simulators in the program. Mrs. Guarno highlighted how these simulators are integrated throughout the pathway, providing hands-on experience that helps prepare students for future careers in healthcare. The visit offered students a valuable preview of the pathway and inspired them to consider the many possibilities within the health professions field.
