Kernan Students Enjoy Wool Project with Cornell Cooperative Extension

Kernan students had the opportunity to participate in an engaging agricultural lesson this week led by Taylor from the Cornell Cooperative Extension. During the visit, Taylor introduced students to the process of shearing lambs and guided them through the journey of wool.

Students enjoyed a hands-on experience creating their own wool marbles, which helped reinforce each stage of the process in a fun and meaningful way. The lesson sparked curiosity, encouraged questions and allowed students to connect agriculture to real-world products they use every day. It was wonderful to see how engaged and enthusiastic the students were throughout the experience!
