Barbers and Braids at MLK

Recently MLK hosted an event called Barbers and Braids for King Kids. Nick Labella, Santino Tartaglia and Brian Rivera from The Shop at 1550, located on Mohawk Street in Utica, volunteered their time to cut 12 of our students’ hair. Amani from Royal Loft Beauty Bar located on James Street in Utica volunteered her time and special talent to braid four of our students’ hair. Without the kindness and generosity of our community we would have never been able to pull off such an amazing event. We want to once again thank these special individuals who donated their time and talent to our King Kids. The smiles on their faces say it all!
