Watson Williams Elementary School Hosts Annual “Community Readers” Event

Watson Williams Elementary School proudly celebrated its annual Community Readers Day, a cherished tradition that brings together community members to share their love of reading with students.

The event was hosted by Principal Dr. Minor and 4th-grade teacher Samantha Colosimo-Testa, who welcomed an enthusiastic group of volunteers from across the community. Participants included elected officials, hairdressers, business owners and others, all coming together with a common purpose: to inspire students through the power of storytelling.

Classrooms across the school were filled with excitement as readers shared favorite books, encouraged discussion and helped spark a deeper appreciation for literacy among the students.

“This event is a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together for its children,” said the organizers. “Our Community Readers Day wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support and engagement of our volunteers.”

Watson Williams Elementary extends its heartfelt thanks to all who participated and looks forward to continuing to strengthen its partnership with the community each year.
